Consultancy
I support values-led organisations through communications, campaigns, heritage-making and more — working with those who care about how stories are told, who they centre, and what they can change.
Heritage and culture
I’ve collaborated with heritage institutions including the Museum of London, where I served as a storytelling consultant, and the Migration Museum, supporting communications for the Heart of the Nation: Migration and the Making of the NHS exhibition — securing national press coverage. I am also part of the strategy group for Chinatown Collective, a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to heritage-making in London’s Chinatown.
Communications and campaigns
I’ve worked with a range of values-led organisations — including Global Witness, Liberty and Good Law Project — on strategic communications, campaigns and storytelling. Since October 2023, I’ve worked with The Voice of Domestic Workers on Future Voices and Future Voices Revolution — two leadership programmes equipping migrant domestic workers with the skills and confidence to share their stories and effect policy change.
Teaching and facilitation
I’m an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and am currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice. Alongside my Lecturer role at City St George’s, I design and deliver bespoke workshops on writing, ethical storytelling and media training for diverse groups — from BA and MA students at the London College of Communication, to community organisations such as Britain’s East and South East Asian Network.
Speaking and public engagement
I have spoken, moderated and hosted public events both in the UK and internationally organised by a wide variety of organisations, including the Barbican, International Journalism Festival, the Hong Kong Film Festival, Amnesty International, Thomson Reuters Foundation, MilkTea Films, and more. In May 2025, I curated a bespoke film event with a focus on South East Asia for Atlas Cinema.
Media equity and systems change
I’m a Director at New Tide Media Network, a UK-based initiative amplifying East and Southeast Asian perspectives in western media. I contributed to the Public Interest News Foundation’s Co-Creational Media Toolkit, and have worked with the UK Anti-SLAPP Coalition to give evidence on media threats in Britain. In 2024, I launched People-Powered Storytelling, a collaborative series showcasing community-centred media initiatives across the UK.
Grief, loss and legacy
I have a particular interest in the themes of grief, loss and legacy, and have consulted on related projects with the British Heart Foundation and the Ruth Strauss Foundation. In 2025, I’ve been working with INQUEST as part of Unjust Deaths, a unique heritage project memorialising death at the hands of the state.
